3 Days 2 Nights Samburu National Reserve Safari

Drive time: Approx. 5–6 hours (320 km) Depart Nairobi at 6:30 AM after an early breakfast. Drive north through scenic Kenyan countryside and across the equator at Nanyuki, with views of Mt. Kenya along the way. Arrive at Samburu National Reserve in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. Afternoon game drive (4:00–6:30 PM) in the park — spot elephants, lions, leopards, and the unique Samburu Special Five (reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk). Enjoy a sunset view over the Ewaso Nyiro River. Dinner and overnight at your lodge/camp.

Early breakfast, then set out for a morning game drive (6:30–11:00 AM) when wildlife is most active. Return to the lodge to relax by the pool or enjoy the riverside views. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game drive (3:30–6:30 PM) exploring different areas of Samburu and the neighboring Buffalo Springs Reserve — watch for predators, elephants, and the region’s distinctive dry-country wildlife. Optional visit to a Samburu cultural village to learn about the tribe’s traditions and way of life. Dinner and overnight at your lodge/camp.

Optional early sunrise game drive (6:30–8:30 AM) for last wildlife sightings and morning light photography. Return to the lodge for breakfast and check-out. Depart Samburu around 9:30 AM, with lunch en route (own arrangement or picnic lunch). Arrive back in Nairobi by 4:00–5:00 PM. Drop-off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
